I got me thinking about those huge farming subsidies. The Government/EU pays huge subsidies to the farmers because they can't earn enough because the supermarkets are screwing them on prices because they are competing to offer the lowest prices to consumers while still making huge profits. So...does that mean that if we all agreed to pay the "real" market price for food, and the supermarkets had their profit margins capped, the farmers wouldn't need subsidies and we could pay less taxes ? Why can't we all just get along ?
